Tournament competition can be costly due to entrance fees and traveling expenses. The New York State Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation acting in a non-for profit capacity will be reimbursing all school owners, professors, or instructors a percentage of their entrance fees. This will serve two added benefits: 1) Alleviate costs associated with competition and 2) create an added incentive for schools to attend the tournament, hence benefiting the growth of the sport.

The reimbursements will be as follows:

Less than 10 entries - no reimbursement

11 - 20 entries - $10 reimbursement per competitor

21 - 30 entries - $13 reimbursement per competitor.
